Terms of use

The agreement between you and Flirtuso: who can join, how to treat each other, what is not allowed, and what happens when rules are broken.

Effective date: 29 August 2026

1. The short version

This is what these Terms come down to. The full text below is what applies, but if you remember only this, you are off to a good start.

  • You must be an adult (18 or over) and be yourself: one real account, your own photos, honest details.
  • Treat people with respect. Consent matters online and offline, and a "no" ends the conversation.
  • You never owe anyone a reply. Not answering a like, a message or a Portal is always fine and is never penalised.
  • No scams, no requests for money, no harassment, no hate, no selling, and nothing involving minors.
  • Your content stays yours. You allow us to show it to the people you chose so that the service can work.
  • We may remove content or accounts that break these rules. You can leave whenever you want.
  • Meet carefully. We do not run background checks, so take sensible precautions when you meet someone.

2. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("Flirtuso", "we", "us"), registered in [Country of registration], with its address at [Registered address]. They apply to the Flirtuso website and web app and all of their features.

By creating an account or using Flirtuso, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. When you accept these Terms, we record the version and the date.

Consumer laws in your country may give you rights that these Terms cannot take away. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

3. Who can use Flirtuso

You may create an account only if all of the following are true:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
  • You are legally able to enter into this agreement, and the laws that apply to you do not prohibit you from using the service.
  • You have never been convicted of a serious sexual or violent offence, and you are not required to register as a sex offender anywhere.
  • We have not previously removed an account of yours for breaking these Terms, unless we have told you that you may return.
  • You will use the service only for personal, non-commercial purposes.

4. Your account

  • Give accurate information about yourself, including your real date of birth, and keep it up to date. Your photos must show you.
  • Have one personal account. Do not share it, sell it, rent it out or let anyone else use it.
  • Keep your password private and do not reuse one from another service. You are responsible for what happens on your account unless it results from our own failure; tell us at once at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
  • Do not create accounts by automated means, or to get around a suspension, a block or a limit.

5. How the service works

Flirtuso helps adults meet through shared interests. You can browse a deck of people who fit your preferences and whose preferences you fit, like or pass on each person, add a short hello note to a like, and match when a like is mutual. You can also post short-lived Portals, chat one-to-one or in groups, share posts, join Dimensions and make friends.

Every interaction is voluntary. You never have to reply to a like, a note, a message, a Portal or a friend request, and silence never counts against you: we do not lower anyone's visibility, end anyone's matches or apply any other penalty for not responding. You can unmatch, leave a conversation or Dimension, change who may message you, or block someone at any time.

We do not promise any number of matches or messages, or that any particular person will see or answer your profile. The order of the deck follows the rules explained in our Privacy Policy, such as shared interests, and nobody can pay for a better place in it. Flirtuso is currently free to use; if we ever introduce paid features, we will present separate terms for them before you pay anything.

6. Community rules

Flirtuso works only when people feel safe and respected. Whenever you use the service, including your profile, notes, Portals, posts, comments, Dimensions and private messages:

  • Be kind and honest. Represent yourself truthfully and treat others the way you would like to be treated.
  • Respect consent. Ask before sending anything intimate, accept a "no" or no answer without pushing, and never pressure anyone to meet, to share photos or to keep talking.
  • Respect privacy. Do not share other people's messages, photos or personal details outside the service without their permission.
  • Respect the Dimensions and groups you join. Stay on topic and follow the reasonable decisions of the people who run them.
  • Use reports for real concerns. Report behaviour that breaks these rules, and do not file false or retaliatory reports.

7. What is not allowed

The following are prohibited anywhere on the service. The list is not exhaustive: anything similar in spirit, or unlawful where you live, is prohibited too.

  • Scams and fraud: asking anyone for money, gifts, investments, cryptocurrency, bank or card details or other financial help; romance scams; phishing; and any attempt to deceive people for gain.
  • Harassment: insults, threats, intimidation, stalking, bullying, repeated unwanted contact, contacting someone through new accounts after they have blocked you, and unwanted sexual messages or images.
  • Anything involving minors: any sexual or suggestive content involving a person under 18, any attempt to contact a minor, and any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers children. We report such material to the competent authorities.
  • Impersonation and fake accounts: pretending to be someone else, using another person's photos or details, misrepresenting your age or identity, or creating an account for anyone other than yourself.
  • Commercial use: advertising or promoting products, services, websites or social media accounts; recruiting or soliciting; offering paid companionship, escort or sexual services; and using the service for any business purpose.
  • Hate and violence: content that attacks or dehumanises people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, serious illness or age; threats; and the glorification of violence, terrorism or violent extremism.
  • Sexual content without consent: sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent, sending explicit content to someone who has not clearly asked for it, and explicit content in profiles, Portals, posts or Dimensions.
  • Self-harm: encouraging or giving instructions for suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. If someone seems to be at risk, report it so that we can help.
  • Illegal activity: selling or promoting drugs, weapons or other illegal goods or services, human trafficking, and anything else against the law.
  • Infringement: content that violates someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
  • Platform abuse: spam, bots, scraping or harvesting data, reverse engineering, interfering with the service or its security, uploading malware, and evading limits, blocks or enforcement.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post, upload or send ("your content"). You are responsible for it, and you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it follows these Terms.

Upload music to Vibe only if you have the right to share it; music that is reported as infringing is removed.

So that the service can work, you give Flirtuso a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt (for example resize or reformat) and display your content, only in order to provide, secure and improve the service and to show your content to the people you chose. We do not use your content to advertise Flirtuso outside the service, and we do not sell it. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for the limited time and reasons described in our Privacy Policy, and content that others have already received, such as messages you sent them.

Content shared by other members belongs to them. Do not copy, share or use it outside the service without their permission. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Safety, online and offline

Flirtuso does not run criminal background checks or identity verification on its members, and we cannot vouch for anyone's identity, intentions or behaviour. You are responsible for your own interactions with other members, so please take care, especially before meeting someone in person.

Before and when you meet someone you got to know here, we strongly encourage you to:

  • Get to know them in the app first, and be wary of anyone who avoids questions, rushes things or quickly asks to move to another platform.
  • Never send money, gifts or financial details, however convincing the story.
  • Meet in a busy public place, arrange your own transport, and tell a friend where you are going and when you expect to be back.
  • Keep an eye on your drink and your belongings, and leave whenever you feel uncomfortable. You do not owe anyone an explanation.
  • Report anyone who behaves inappropriately, in the app or in person, and contact local emergency services if you are in danger.

10. Reports, moderation and enforcement

You can report a profile, post or comment from within the app, and you can block anyone at any time. Reports are reviewed by people on our team, who look at the reported content and its context. Some protective limits are automatic, such as caps on how many reports or sign-in attempts can be made in a short time.

If we find a breach of these Terms or the law, or a risk to someone's safety, we may act in proportion to how serious it is and whether it has happened before. Our measures include removing content, hiding a display name, hiding a Dimension, restricting features, suspending an account and closing an account permanently. Each decision is recorded in an internal audit log.

Where the law requires it and it is safe to do so, we will tell you what we did and why. If you think we made a mistake, write to [email protected] and we will review the decision again. You may also have the right to challenge a decision before an out-of-court dispute body or the courts where you live.

We may preserve information and share it with law enforcement where the law requires it, in response to a valid legal request, or where someone's life or safety is at risk, as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Our service and intellectual property

The Flirtuso service, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to [Company legal name] or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable and non-exclusive licence to use the service as these Terms allow. You may not copy, modify or distribute the service, build works based on it, or use our name or logo without our written permission.

If you believe that content on the service infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice to [Copyright and legal notices contact] that identifies the work, the content and where it appears, gives your contact details, and states that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We will remove infringing content and, where appropriate, close the accounts of repeat infringers.

12. Leaving, suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. When an account is deleted, its profile and content are hidden from everyone and its sign-ins end; what we keep afterwards, and for how long, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if your account puts others or the service at risk. Where appropriate, we will warn you first. If we close your account for a breach, you may not create a new one without our permission.

Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue, such as the licence for copies we are allowed to keep, the disclaimers, the limitation of liability and the rules on disputes, continue after your account ends.

13. Changes to the service

We are always working on the service. We may add, change or remove features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, updates or events outside our control. If a change significantly affects you, we will try to tell you in advance. If we ever decide to close the service, we will give reasonable notice where we can, so that you can ask for a copy of your data.

14. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the service safe and running, but to the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that any content on it is accurate.

We are not responsible for the behaviour of any member, online or offline, or for content created by members. Content shared by members expresses their own views, not ours.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Company legal name] and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, the behaviour or content of any member, or unauthorised access to your account or content.

To the same extent, our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any, or [Liability cap amount].

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

16. Your responsibility for claims

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate [Company legal name] for claims by third parties, and for the resulting losses and reasonable costs (including legal fees), that arise from your content, your breach of these Terms or your violation of someone else's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by our own fault, and it does not limit your rights as a consumer.

17. Disputes and governing law

If you have a concern, please contact us first at [email protected]. Most issues can be settled quickly, and we will try in good faith to resolve yours within 60 days before either of us takes formal steps.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be decided by the courts of [Courts / venue], unless the law that applies to you provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there. Nothing in these Terms limits your right to contact a consumer protection or data protection authority.

18. General terms

  • Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms we show you for a specific feature, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
  • Severability: if any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and that part is applied as far as the law allows.
  • No waiver: if we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
  • Transfer: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor in a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, without reducing your rights.
  • Events beyond our control: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control.
  • Languages: these Terms are available in several languages. The Azerbaijani and English versions are binding, and other versions are provided for convenience. If the binding versions differ, the English version prevails.

19. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as the service, our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. We will tell you about significant changes in the app before they take effect; if you keep using the service after that, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can stop using the service and close your account at any time.

Questions about these Terms: [email protected], or by post to [Company legal name], [Registered address].
